WannaCry Ransomware Cyber-attack – Microsoft releases the security update after

Microsoft re-releases the security update on 14 May. As we know WannaCry ransomware attack is widely spreading over internet. Microsoft strictly suggesting to update some older versions of windows operating system.

Microsoft has called a cyber-attack that disturbed many businesses and services across 150 countries. Microsoft blamed the government agencies to store the details of vulnerabilities as stockpiled weapons.

In a blog blog post, Microsoft’s president and chief legal officer Bradford L. Smith announced about to keep people safe from cyber attack. He told about “WannaCryp” software that quickly spread globally. This malicious software was started in the United Kingdom and Spain. “WannaCryp” encrypts the OS and user files, asking for 300 Bitcoin to correct the infected system. The WannaCrypt exploits stolen from the National Security Agency, or NSA, in the United States.

Smith gave a message to authorities, that should start thinking about the security exploits in the same terms as physical weapon. If Stockpiling missiles would be inexcusable, so why stores the vulnerabilities in a system so that can comparably be kicked open?

Company said users that enabled Windows Updates are protected against these type of vulnerability attacks. User that are using older versions and not updating Windows are strictly suggested to Update Windows.
Microsoft stated that users are using Windows 10 was not targeted in the attack. Company gave faith to the users to keep protect. Company is working hard to provide assistance to their customers.
