Scooter, a Siamese cat, marked his 30 th birthday last March 26. His owner, Gail Floyd from Mansfield, Texas, told the Fort Worth Star-Telegram that Scooter had died by the time Guinness conferred its title on April 8.
The Siamese cat recently cited by the Guinness Book of World Records as the world’s oldest living cat dies at 30 and did not live long to enjoy the title.
According to a Mansfield veterinarian, Dr. Tricia Latimer, Scooter had lived to the equivalent of about 136 human years.
However, Scooter was not the Guinness’ oldest cat of all time. The title belongs to fellow Texas cat that lived to be 38.
